The accounting program at Aurora University is designed to prepare students for careers in business, the not-for-profit sector, and government. Students may select courses emphasizing financial or managerial accounting depending upon their specific interests. Accounting majors often use their accounting education as part of their preparation for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Jennifer Worzala Award for Academic Excellence in Business and Leadership 2013

This award is presented to an outstanding senior accounting or business major who has demonstrated academic excellence, campus leadership and character in pursuit of his or her undergraduate degree. The award is named in memory of Jennifer Worzala who died during her senior year at Aurora University.

Delta Mu Delta Honor Society for Business

Delta Mu Delta is a business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students at qualifying colleges and universities, to create a DMD community that fosters the well-being of its individual members and the business community through life-time membership. Members are chosen from the top 20% of the junior and senior class.

Alpha Chi Honor Society

Inductee 2012

Alpha Chi is a coeducational academic honor society. Membership is limited to the top 10% of juniors, seniors, and graduate students at colleges and universities that have a local chapter. Alpha Chi is organized as a non-profit corporation in the state of Texas and is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies.
